School of European legal and social studies (S.E.L.S.S.)
The SELSS is an intensive and specialized School that addresses legal, economic, political and historical aspects related to Europe in a global dimension. The SELSS welcomes participants, from both European and Extra European Countries, to be actively involved in a collaborative learning environment under the supervision of renowned academics from different European Universities and expert/officers from International Institutions. The SELSS is organized in cooperation with the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven. The programme in Leuven includes visits to the EU Institutions.
Duration: from the 30th of September 2013 to the 24th of November 2013
Double location Italy and Belgium: from Sept.30 to Nov.16 at the University of Padova; from Nov.17 to 24 at the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven..
Language: classes will be held in English.
Eligibility: the SELSS is open to a maximum of 25 participants. The participants must hold at least a three years University degree (180 ECTS) in the relevant matters of the School (economics & business administration, history, international relations, law, political and social sciences). A good command of English is required.
Fees: € 3.000. The fees cover: a) participation to the classes; b) learning materials; c) accommodation with breakfast and lunch at the halls of residence of the hosting Universities; d) travel expenses from Padua to Leuven (one way).
Scholarships: 10 scholarships of € 2.000 each will be offered on a competitive basis. A further lump sum up to a maximum of € 500 for the travel costs to the University of Padua will be offered to the beneficiaries of the scholarships coming from regions outside Europe.
Certificate: at the full completion of the School, participants will receive a participation certificate acknowledging 8 ECTS.
